The CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme Refresher (SMSTS Refresher) is a two-day course designed for professionals who hold a valid in-date certificate from the original five-day Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS). 
This SMSTS Refresher course updates your knowledge of health, safety, welfare and environmental responsibilities, changes in legislation, industry best practice and evolving site management standards.

Course duration and assessment 
The CITB SMSTS Refresher course runs over two days. 
Assessment includes attendance at all sessions and a multiple-choice or mixed-format test at the end of the course. Successful delegates receive an updated SMSTS certificate valid for five years. 

Eligibility criteria 
To attend the Site Management Safety Training Scheme Refresher, delegates must hold a valid, unexpired SMSTS certificate from the five-day course or a previous refresher. If the certificate has expired, the full five-day SMSTS course must be retaken.
