Course Overview
The CDM Awareness Course provides delegates with a clear understanding of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015) and their application across construction projects.
Developed in line with CITB standards and delivered with CITB endorsement, this course supports individuals and organisations in meeting their legal duties and improving health, safety and risk management throughout the lifecycle of a construction project.
The course covers the roles and responsibilities of all CDM duty holders, including Clients, Designers, Principal Designers, Principal Contractors, Contractors and Workers. It also provides practical guidance on key documentation such as the Client Brief, Pre-Construction Information, Construction Phase Plan, and Health & Safety File.
Delegates will gain an understanding of how to effectively plan, manage and monitor construction work, apply the general principles of prevention, and implement risk management through design to reduce hazards at source.
This course is applicable to all construction activities, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently and in compliance with current legislation
